Spain will see more of a happy bee standing in front of a fast-food chain. It means more smiles on everyone’s faces, especially kids who love fried chicken and burgers.
JOLLIBEE Foods Corp. (JFC) is about to expand in Spain by adding more stores. It will spend €10 million for its expansion, which is a fifth of the €50-million fund for its Europe expansion. The said corporation plans to set up 50 stores throughout the continent in the next five years. Jollibee will open its first Spain store this week, September 23, at Calle Arenal in Puerta Del Sol in Madrid.
“Unique to Jollibee Madrid is a double-height dining hall with a full-size palm tree right at the center of the restaurant. It will also feature outdoor seating, takeaway collection areas, digital kiosks to facilitate transactions, and hand-washing stations,” JFC said.
Jollibee Madrid can accommodate up to dine-in 180 guests. It emphasized the brand’s store design and redefined it for European customers. Additionally, the construction of the establishment provides safety with outdoor seating, assigned take-out area, and hand-washing stations. There will also be digital kiosks for transactions to make the ordering of food quicker.
In line with the pandemic, the Jollibee Group is also championing the importance of getting COVID-19 shots. It is extending its 10% discount promotion until Nov. 30 of this year for those who already got vaccinated.
The promotion is valid for dine-in transactions and participating Jollibee stores. Customers can also take advantage of the fantastic promotion at Mang Inasal, Burger King, PHO24, Greenwich, Chowking, and Panda Express. The Red Ribbon brand likewise offers the same discount, but for take-out only.
The drive is a part of t Ingat Angat’s “Smart Bakuna Benefits” country’s vaccination program. Over 150 restaurants in the National Geographic Capital Region Plus area offer discounts to all vaccinated individuals.
Inoculated customers must present their vaccine card government-issued ID. They’ll be able to enjoy an unlimited 10% discount as long as they want (for dine-in only) until November 30.
Jollibee Group Chief Sustainability and Public Affairs Officer Pepot Miñana said that the fast-food company is glad to prolong the discount promo to enable more customers to value the benefits of vaccination aside from safeguarding their health.
He added that with the restaurant industry’s combined effort, more Filipinos would be enthusiastic about its combined effort in getting their COVID-19 shots. It will help the country secure herd immunity at the earliest possible time. Customers need to visit the Facebook pages of Jollibee Group brands for specified terms and conditions regarding the discount promotion.
The giant fast-food chain company is betting on its international businesses to propel growth in 2021. It has already opened 5,815 branches in 44 countries its 17 brands. It plans to launch 450 stores this year, with a majority will be opened overseas.
Meanwhile, Jollibee launched a new addition to its menu called the “Original Jollibee Chickenwich.” As of the moment, it’s only available in Jollibee’s US stores which started on September 14.
The crispy chicken sandwich highlights a slow-marinated, hand-breaded chicken breast fillet and an umami mayo sauce. These are stuffed between a toasted brioche bun. Another variant, Spicy Jollibee Chickenwich, is also available with sriracha mayo and fresh jalapeño slices.
